POLLEN - MetLife Hackathon Winner

THE PROBLEM According to the CDC (2022), 31.8% of people over the age of 18 suffer from allergies. This demonstrates the need for effective management and prevention strategies to alleviate symptoms, revealing a gap in healthcare. THE SOLUTION I developed POLLEN, a web application that offers users personalized health recommendations based on their location. By leveraging APIs such as Google Pollen, USPS Zipcode, and Geo Locator, the app retrieves real-time pollen index data and provides actionable insights. Having personally experienced server allergies during the development cycle, I was motivated to create a solution that could make a meaningful impact on users' lives.
